云南德宏州芒市第一中学高中英语 Unit1 Friendship Period2 reading教案 新人教版必修1 This unit is concerned about the topic of friends and friendship, which is to focus on the interpersonal relationships’ dealing at the beginning of students’ high school learning and lead students to learn some literature work like Anne’s Best Friend when they finished their middle school. The 1st period is mainly some warming-up and speaking about this unit, which paves the way to continue teaching procedures.All in all, this unit promises to unveil the true essence of friendship and helps students to lead a more friendly and harmonious life. Teaching contents and analysis Contents Warming up, pre-reading, while-reading and post-reading AnalysisWarming up this part is to check the preparation of some language points about this topic and arouse their interest Reading has been divided into three parts. In the first part, it mainly introduces some background knowledge and related questions about the reading contents, which prompts students to think critically about friends and friendship and makes them accept the fact that a diary can also be a friend. In the text, it gives a glimpse of the Jewish girl Anne when her family escaped to Amsterdam from the German Nazis’ killing in the World War Two. She treats the diary as her best friend, expresses her longing for a normal life. After reading, it helps students further understand and consolidate the text by some rcises. B. Teaching objectives and analysis Language objective 1. To learn some new words and phrases related to the topic and the text. Ability objective 2. To develop the students’ reading ability and learn to use some reading strategies such as guessing, key sentences, skimming and scanning. 3.
