2． 表示一方不如另一方时，用“less原级than”结构表示，意为“不如”。如This room is less beautiful than that one .这个房间不如那个房间漂亮。
3． 表示一方超过另一方的程度或数量时，可在比较级前加表示程度的状语。如even, a lot, a bit, a little , still, much, far , yet, by far等。如The weather is even worse than yesterday.天气比昨天更糟糕了。
4． 表示一方随另一方的程度而变化时，用“the 比较级（主语谓语），the 比较级（主语谓语）”结构，如The harder he works, the happier he feels.他工作越努力，感到越快乐。
5． 不与其他事物相比，表示本身程度的改变时，用“比较级and比较级”的结构，意为“越来越”。如The weather is getting hotter and hotter.天气越来越热了。
The girl becomes more and more beautiful.这个女孩变得越来越漂亮了。
6． 在比较从句中，为避免重复，常用thatthose,oneones代替前面出现的词。如The book on the chair is more interesting than that on the desk.椅子上那本书比桌子上那本有趣。
7． 表示两者在某一方面相同时用“as形容词或副词原形as“的句型。如I think English is as important as math.我认为英语和数学一样重要。
Tom runs as fast as jack.汤姆跑地和杰克一样快。
8． 表示一方在某一方面不及另一方时用“not as /so形容词或副词原形as”的句型。如It is not as/so warm today as yesterday.今天不如昨天暖和。
He did not come as /so early as Wang Lin.他不如王林来得早。
这种句型可以和第2种“less 原级than “转换”。
